HOME VISIT PHYSIOTHERAPY SERVICES
At Motion Health, we recognise that there are times when attending the clinic may not be practical or possible. Our home visits physiotherapy service allows clients to continue receiving high-quality physiotherapy care in their own home when travel becomes challenging, following surgery, or during periods of reduced mobility.
Our experienced physiotherapists provide the same evidence-based, individualised care you would receive in the clinic, adapted to your home environment and specific needs.
Physiotherapy in the Comfort of Your Home
Home visit physiotherapy may be appropriate if you:
- Are recovering from surgery or recent hospitalisation
- Have difficulty travelling due to pain, fatigue, or mobility limitations
- Are managing age-related changes in strength, balance, or independence
- Have a neurological or chronic condition
- Require short-term support before transitioning back to in-clinic care
Experienced Physiotherapists, Individualised Care
Motion Health physiotherapists are highly trained and experienced in delivering physiotherapy care across both clinical and home settings. Treating clients at home allows our team to:
- Assess movement and function within the home environment
- Identify and address mobility challenges or fall risks
- Tailor exercises using available space and household equipment
- Provide practical strategies to support daily activities
Conditions Commonly Managed with Home Visits
Our home visit physiotherapy service may assist with:
- Post-operative rehabilitation (including joint replacement surgery)
- Reduced strength, mobility, or balance
- Falls prevention
- Neurological conditions
- Chronic pain management
- General deconditioning or reduced functional capacity
Care can be adjusted over time, with the option to transition between home visits and inclinic appointments as appropriate
Continuity of Care with Motion Health
Home visits form part of Motion Health’s integrated physiotherapy services. Clients receive consistent, professional care with clear communication and goal-based treatment, regardless of where sessions take place.
We work closely with clients and, where appropriate, their families or support networks to ensure ongoing progress and safe outcomes.
WHAT QUALIFICATIONS DOES A PHYSIOTHERAPIST HAVE?
All Physiotherapists in Australia are required to be registered by law. Registration as a Physiotherapist is only possible after completion of a university degree in physiotherapy or health sciences with a physiotherapy course. Physiotherapists study medical science subjects such as anatomy, neuroscience and physiology to develop skills and attitudes necessary for diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of patients with physical disorders and disabilities.
Motion Health Physiotherapists have post-graduate training in advanced musculo-skeletal assessment and treatment techniques. The team can assess and treat a variety of conditions that affect the physical function and quality of life of adults and children. We also work closely with other professionals that care for you, including doctors, Exercise Physiologists, orthopaedic specialists and other health professionals to promote the best possible outcomes for you and your family.
